The Qatar Shipping Company (Q-Ship) recorded a net profit of 36.7 million Qatari rials ($10.1 million) in the first half of 2002. The company also recorded a market capitalization of close to QR 1.3 billion based on a QR 26 market price, reported the Oman Arab Bank’s Investment Management Group (IMG).
Q-Ship currently owns and operates a seven-vessel deep-sea fleet having an aggregate tonnage of 711,153 dwt. They comprise of four petroleum product tankers, one clean petroleum product tanker and two OBOs. It offers shipping services for liquefied petroleum gas, liquefied natural gas, crude and clean oil, dry and bulk cargo. — (menareport.com)
