Expatriates in Qatar are playing a major role in influencing the growing prices of land, a real estate expert has conveyed. Speaking to an Arabic daily, Mansoor Mubarak Al Naimi stated: "Expatriates are now playing a significant role in land transactions. In fact it is extraordinary. Now, expatriates have the capital and commercial licences and they are taking part in business activities just like the nationals."

It is true that land deals have exhibited a three to five per cent decline with the onset of the summer, yet prices remain unchanged.
