A huge plot of land is being acquired to build a new and larger premises for the Doha Securities Market (DSM). The need to have larger premises for the stock exchange is dictated by a projected increase in its activities once it opens up its doors to foreigners.
The new premises, which is expected to be ready in two years, will have advanced gadgets and trading system, according to The Peninsula.
The DSM was shifted into a new building at the Grand Hamad Avenue only about a year ago. Qatar's Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Jassem Al Thani said “We will acquire a plot within a week or two.”
