The phenomenon of growing housing rents will continue even after the Asian Games next year, predicted a key Qatari businessman who is also a member of the Advisory Council.
Nasser Sulaiman Hyder told Al Sharq daily that he did not think the high property rents were going to retreat after the Asian Games was over by 2006-end.
Hyder believes that what may sustain higher rents are the mega projects launched in the high-profile energy and infrastructure sectors.
The properties being developed are actually driven by the higher inflow of investment in the mega energy and infrastructure projects, he said.
