Qatar and Commerce One Inc. signed an agreement to provide Qatar’s electronic commerce companies with advise, programs and problem-shooting techniques, officials from both companies announced.
The agreement will make Qatar’s Al-Manaee Company the first in the country to provide such services to e-commerce companies and institutions.
Commerce One financial officer, Dennis Rou, said Al- Manaee would provide companies with WTG programs which assists Internet trade activity and links users to an international network were all companies involved in electronic commerce are located.
“Now companies in Qatar can access the Internet yellow pages and directly call its partners and shops from all over the world on the Internet,” Rou said.
Officials at Al-Manaee said this would give Qatar the forum it needed to be competitive on the world market. — (Albawaba-MEBG)
