The Qatar Investment Authority now owns majority shares in the prestigious Claridge’s, including sister properties after winning a bid that drew several interested parties, including the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.
No disclosure was made about how much QIA’s Constellation Hotels paid for the property which has been mired in a legal battle for the past four years. Claridge’s is the epitome of London luxury that has housed kings, queens, dignitaries and celebrities and is often referred to as the “annexe to Buckingham Palace”.
