Throwing its full weight behind the latest Omani government visa relaxation initiative, Radisson SAS Hotel, Muscat, has become the Sultanate’s first hotel to implement the new measures, according to a company press release. On January 5th, Oman introduced new lower visa fees and further relaxation procedures in a bid to encourage the country’s inbound tourism sector.
“Today we are the first to fully adopt the new relaxed visa procedures at cost price,” said Marko Hytonen, Radisson SAS Hotel Muscat general manager. “We are maintaining government charges in order to support the Ministry of Tourism in its effort to encourage more international travelers to visit this amazing country. We will not be making any profit out of this service.”
Visitors to Oman who want to avoid queues at the airport or border crossings, can have their visas ordered in advance at Radisson SAS Hotel, Muscat. “For business travelers, time is money and even the slightest delay at the airport may be crucial. Ordering visas in advance can prove very beneficial, in particular during the high season,” said Hytonen.
Other Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts Middle and Near East properties are in Amman, Aqaba, Baku, Istanbul, Bahrain, kuwait and Sharm Al-Sheikh. Three more properties in Hurghada, Taba and Al-Quesir in Egypt are due on-line soon.
