The Egyptian transportation ministry reported that it is now evaluating five offers from large investment companies to develop a railway ticket reservation system through Internet and telephone, reported Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper.
The ministry added that 74 private companies placed their bid for this proposal, however, only five of them were selected for further evaluation. The ministry may award this task to more than one company in order to assure competition and thus better customer services. The project enables passengers to book their tickets through the Internet and the telephone. — (Albawaba-MEBG)
