The French auto maker Renault is the number one car importer to Algeria, raking up a number of 25,448 units imported in the first eleven months of 2004 totalling a cash worth of 16,65 billion Algerian dinars, according to the National Center for Information and Statistics.
Peugeot is the number two importer with 22,128 vehicles at a total cost of 16.16 billion Algerian dinars. Toyota is next with 19,197 units worth a total of 15.37 billion Algerian dinars. Hyundai follows Toyota with 13,434 units.
