Israel’s Replicom, a provider of server management solutions, announced the availability of ProxyView Release 2.0 remote KVM access and control of servers over TCP/IP.
New ProxyView capitalizes on Replicom's proprietary video processing hardware engine to support higher resolutions, offering even more efficient bandwidth usage, superior video performance and greater security for remote KVM access and control of servers via the Internet, LAN/WAN, or dial-up modem.
Using ProxyView, system administrators can access multiple servers connected to a KVM Switch through a dial-up modem connection, an Internet connection, or across a LAN or WAN.
Then they can perform any function ranging from GUI applications to BIOS-level troubleshooting, administration, and even rebooting, just as if they were sitting next to the server in the data center.
With Release 2.0, Replicom offers ProxyView users enhanced video performance, more efficient bandwidth usage, onboard support for two serial devices and the support for higher resolutions and refresh rates.
Replicom develops and provides remote presence solutions for information systems management. The company's leading-edge technologies provide cost-effective access to and control of servers, enabling corporations to dramatically reduce their maintenance costs, increase server availability and better leverage their network administration resources.
Founded in October 1999, Replicom is privately owned and is backed by leading venture capital funds. Replicom's headquarters and research development are located in Or Akiva, Israel. Its North American operations are based in Boston, Massachusetts. — (menareport.com)
