A request has been made by international monetary associations to devalue the currencies of Morocco and Tunisia, recently reported the London-based Al-Hayat.
The associations stated that the two economies are similar to Egypt’s, and they should follow with a devaluation of the Moroccan Derham and Tunisian Dinar as Egyptian did with its pound.
The corporations recommended a devaluation of five to eight percent, approximately equivalent to the fall of the European euro currency. The depreciation of the euro has lead to losses for Morocco and Tunisia, and the devaluation would raise investments and tourism, as well as make exports more attractive. — (Mena Report)
