Reuters, an international financial information and news service organization, has appointed Jean-Marc Paufique as its senior company officer for the newly created Reuters Middle East and North Africa region (MENA).
He is succeeding Michael Kuli, who has served as the managing director of Reuters Gulf since November 1999.
The new Reuters MENA region resulting from the merger of the former Gulf and East Mediterranean and North Africa entities will employ about 340 Reuters’ staff, in the information, solutions, consulting and media institutions, with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) serving as the main hub for its operations.
In his new position, Paufique will be responsible for expanding the company’s business activities across 23 countries and enhancing its local and regional support for banks, financial and media institutions. — (menareport.com)
