Revenues of Zara Investments Company climb by 92%

Revenues of Zara Investments Holding Company climbed to Jordanian Dinar (JD) 32 million ($45 million) by the end of 2000, up from JD 16.6 million ($23 million) the previous year, reports Addustour daily. These figures reflect a 92.7 percent growth. In addition, Zara reported its net operating revenues had hit JD 10,244,336 ($14 million) in 2000—an 84 percent rise compared with 1999.  

 

Zara owns and operates five different five-star hotels in Jordan, including the Intercontinental Hotel and the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Amman, Movenpick Hotel in the Dead Sea, Movenpick Hotel in Aqaba and the Movenpick Hotel in Petra. These hotels have a total of 1,600 rooms and suites, and make up 53 percent of the overall five-star hotel rooms in Jordan. The hotels employ 2,100 workers —(MENA Report)
