Ritchie Bros. completes industrial auction in Dubai

Industrial auctioneers Ritchie Bros. announced the completion of a large auction at the company's auction facility in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), resulting in gross auction sales of over $24 million, according to a company press release.  

 

The three-day auction, conducted on May 27, 28 and 29, attracted over 500 bidders from 35 countries. Bidders from Canada, the US, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Australia registered to bid on 1,315 items. Buyers from outside of the UAE purchased over half of the trucks and equipment.  

 

This was the first Ritchie Bros. Dubai auction to offer the rbauctionBid-Live Internet bidding service; it attracted 47 Internet bidders from 19 US states, five Canadian provinces and nine other countries.
