Rolls-Royce Plc, who provide Trent aero engines for Emirates Boeing 777s and A 330s, has held its first public relations conference outside the UK in Dubai. Nearly 20 delegates from the company's global network of external PR consultants and its own in-house team met at the Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa.

Martin Brodie, head of Corporate Media Relations, said: “In the past, we met every year in the UK, but this year we really wanted to demonstrate how international Rolls-Royce has become. The best way of doing this was to have the conference at an international venue—but one that had a real business reference to Rolls-Royce.”

During the two-day conference, delegates visited Emirates Engineering to see how the airline, which when it adds the A340-600 to its fleet will become wholly Rolls-Royce powered, carries out a wide range of engineering tasks. — (menareport.com)
