Royal Caribbean Cruises Arabia reported a 118 percent increase in gross revenue sales for 2003 compared to the previous year.

The company attributes the positive results to their deployment of cruising schedules throughout Northern Europe and the Mediterranean. Top contributing source markets were Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and United Arab Emirates (UAE) with Bahrain recording the highest percent increase on a significant scale.

Combined European sailing schedules accounted for 70 percent of the passengers booked and sailed, of which the new 10-night and 12-night Mediterranean sailings satisfied the market needs for longer cruises.

Royal Caribbean Arabia is the Middle East representative of Royal Caribbean Cruises under the registered trading names of Safeen Tourism and Wareef Tourism-Saudi Arabia. Royal Caribbean Cruises is a global cruise vacation company that operates Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises, with a combined total of 27 ships in service and two under construction or on firm order. — (menareport.com)
