ALBAWABA - Royal Jordanian Airlines (RJ) announced the opening of a new nonstop flight route between Queen Alia International Airport in Amman and Washington Dulles International Airport.

The airline's Boeing 787 Dreamliner will be deployed for the twice-weekly, Tuesday and Sunday service, which is scheduled to launch in mid-March 2025 and provide customers with an appealing and efficient travel experience.

According to a press release, the new route intends to further solidify Jordan's status as a major hub in the area by making travel more convenient for a variety of passengers, including tourists, business professionals, government officials, and ethnic groups.

Royal Jordanian President and CEO Samer Majali expressed enthusiasm about the new connection, stating, “We are thrilled to introduce this nonstop service between Amman and Washington, D.C. This route not only enhances our network connectivity but also demonstrates our dedication to fostering stronger ties between Jordan and the United States.

“It represents a step forward in achieving our vision of being the airline of choice in the Levant for travelers seeking convenience and world-class service,” Majali added.

The addition of Washington, D.C., enhances Royal Jordanian's current nonstop connectivity with Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport, and Chicago O'Hare International Airport.
