The Al Outaiba has split off from the Sheraton and from now on the Royal
Mirage will run the group, according to the Moroccan economics news source,
<i>L'Economiste</i>. The group comprises three hotels, Agadir, Fez and Marrakech.
The new owners plan a major renovation that will include hundreds of
millions of Moroccan dirhams. The Moroccan tourist sector is optimistic of
the new investment that will now be poured into this sector. The Sheraton Marrakech is a flagship hotel for the city.
