The Chief Executive of the Saudi Basic Industries Company (SABIC) will soon begin a tour of several Asian countries, aimed at strengthening the company’s relations with the trade partners in these countries.
According to Al-Hayat, the chief executive will assess the available opportunities for opening petrochemical manufacturing projects in Asia. The countries especially targeted by SABIC are Taiwan, South Korea and China.
Sources at SABIC have revealed that the corporation’s current policy is to locate strategic partners for joint ventures in Asia in order to manufacture some of the petrochemical products locally as opposed to exporting them to these countries.
