Samsung announced at GITEX 2002 the signing of a contract to provide Bizentro its Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) solution for over 500 locally owned service centers providing support for electric appliances over the Middle East.
Locally owned service centers including SMB, NEC, Al-Andalus, Al-Mawared, SAMA will benefit from increased operational efficiencies and the customers of small and large electric appliances, from TV to fridges, will get advantages of an increased customer service at all service centers. An initial 700 users will be able to log into Bizentro ERP, which will support all national and local service center needs.
Bizentro is Samsung's ERP solution for small and medium enterprises equipped with Supply Chain Management (SCM), Customers Relationship Management (CRM), and e-procurement functions. It is a total solution designed to enhance productivity, efficiency, ROI, reducing business costs and inventory.
With this web-based advanced architecture, Samsung has established over 500 reference sites around the world and this project is the first in the Middle East. Built on open architecture, it is customizable to existing systems and quick to implement.
Samsung has completed deployment of their Bizentro in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Africa, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Samsung EMEA operates from its headquarter in London with a regional office in Frankfurt, Germany. Samsung EMEA opened its regional office in Dubai Internet City in September 2002. — (menareport.com)
