A $300 million new development cluster at Al Areen called ‘Sarab Al Areen’ was launched on Sunday. The ceremony was attended by Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Salman Al Khalifa the Bahraini Minister at the Royal Court. According to him, due to keen interest of strategic investors the total size of commitments in Al Areen project has crossed $1.3 billion mark. The project will be completed by end of 2008.
The new cluster will be developed on the total area of 176,000 square metres by a Seattle-based Callison Architecture Inc., and Bahrain-based Mohammed Salahuddin Consulting Engineering Bureau.
