Cominucations network Immarsat to demonstrate the first broadband, mobile Internet access in the Middle East to regional media this month.
Media at the event will discover how to double the speed of mobile Internet technologies without the restrictions imposed by roaming and network coverage limitations to allow Internet access anywhere in the region.
Inmarsat owns and operates a global satellite network and delivers its solutions through a distribution network of approximately 260 distributors and other service providers operating in around 80 countries worldwide to end users in the maritime, land and aeronautical sectors.
The company has a portfolio of satellite solutions, including voice, fax, intranet and Internet access and other data services. At the end of June 2002, over 250,000 terminals were registered to access Inmarsat services. — (menareport.com)
