A Saudi Airlines passenger jet made an unscheduled landing at Athens airport Tuesday, September 11, after a bomb alert, an airport official said.

"Verifications are underway aboard the aircraft, which was evacuated because of a possible device," spokeswoman Jeanette Choisi said, adding that all passengers were "in good health."

Flight SV 0162, which was en route from Rome to Jeddah and Riyadh, was searched after landing at the Greek capital's Spata airport, Rome's airport news service Telenews said. ― (AFP, Athens)
