Major Saudi electronics chain, Best, recently revealed plans to open some 20 new stores throughout the Kingdom over the next year and a half with an investment of an estimated SR600 million.
Each of the proposed shops will have an area ranging from 3,000 to 5,000 square meters, according to the company, known for being the largest store of its kind in Saudi Arabia.
"We provide and deal in home appliances, computers and accessories, books, toys, Internet services, car electronic devices and services, technology support, and a live demonstration kitchen featuring the latest concepts and gadgets in home cooking," said Mohammed Adil, Chief Executive Officer of Best, who also serves as the CEO of the Geant hypermarket chain that is part of the Fawaz Al Hokair Group.
Adil went on to explain that the retail store was much more than an outlet for electronic items, and that it had the largest collection of items under a single roof.
“There is also a section for the future home with focus on the art of elegant living," he said.
During a recent opening of two new stores in Riyadh, thousands of customers arrived to mark the event, reported Khaleej Times.
