ALBAWABA – Saudi Arabia announced the issuance of the first license for selling gas cylinders for domestic uses in the country. The decision aims to provide the kingdom’s citizens with access to domestic gas cylinders more quickly and efficiently.
Saudi Ministry of Energy issues gas cylinder license sales
The Saudi Ministry of Energy announced that it had issued the first license to sell LPG cylinders (domestic gas) through self-service outlets. The ministry aims to facilitate energy efficiency for its citizens and provide more convenient and flexible options.

According to the ministry, consumers will now have direct access to domestic gas cylinders more quickly and efficiently. Users can now buy and exchange empty cylinders for new ones through self-service machines installed at gas stations and major retail outlet, available 24/7.

It is worth mentioning that the price of a new cylinder without a regulator will be priced at approximately SAR 150, while the price of a filled cylinder will cost around SAR 180.
