The first hydrogen-powered taxis will rely on clean energy, making them an environmentally friendly and more sustainable option, as they do not emit carbon. They are highly efficient in performance, capable of driving up to 350 kilometers or operating for 8 hours a day without the need to refuel.
Additionally, the General Transport Authority (TGA) signed two memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with two leading companies: Abdullah Hashim Industrial Gases & Equipment's (AHG), an industrial gas supplier in Saudi Arabia, and Abdul Latif Jameel Company, a family-owned, diversified business founded in the kingdom.
It is worth noting that Abdullah Hashim Industrial Gases & Equipment's (AHG) will supply hydrogen fuel and conduct studies related to clean energy sources related for the project, while Abdul Latif Jameel Company will promote the use of hydrogen vehicles and facilitate technology exchange.
