Saudi and Qatari investors have entered into an agreement to establish a new neuroscience and spinal hospital in Dubai.
Investment bank Audacia Capital and Dr. Abdul Karim Msaddi, founder of the Dubai Neuro Spinal Hospital, have partnered to invest $49m (AED180m) into a new 120-bed facility, scheduled to open in Dubai Science Park by late 2018, according to the Saudi Gazette.
The new Neuroscience and Spine Centre of Excellence and an advanced oncology centre will provide leading neuroscience, spine, orthopedic and oncology care, and bring cutting-edge radiosurgery treatments to patients of both the UAE and region for the first time.
Emad Mansour, Founder and CEO of Audacia Capital, said: “This investment is in response to the growing demand for specialist healthcare within the country and region. We are very proud to have established this partnership, and confident that the new facility will be a game changer for healthcare in the UAE.”
The hospital will have state-of the-art medical equipment and be able to attract top international talent across various medical specialties, Mansour added.
Dr. Msaddi, said: “We are committed to excellence in clinical care, innovation and education. Spreading knowledge for the benefit of the community through our educational conferences and courses is something we will remain dedicated to.
“This new hospital, and the range of education programs it will bring to Dubai, supports our mission.”
