Integrated Visions (IV), the first licensed Application Service Provider (ASP) in Saudi Arabia, has recently completed construction of its data center in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, which will offer ASP services in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. Two additional data centers, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Cairo, Egypt, enable IV to service customers from Africa to the Far East.

Sourcing software through ASPs is fast gaining popularity among businesses of all sizes, according to IV. Under the ASP model, businesses outsource their software and Information Technology (IT) requirements to a third party, which manages and distributes the applications through central data centers.

"The purchase and management of software is an expensive undertaking for small and medium enterprises. By using an ASP, companies can satisfy all their software needs and benefit from greater flexibility and choice," explained Mazen Baroom, vice president of IV.

The company has partnered with technology companies Microsoft, Cisco, Hewlett Packard and Equant to meet the computing needs of its clients. — (menareport.com)
