Saudi ban on foreign ownership of properties in holy cities

Saudi Arabia's Shura Council has banned non-Saudi nationals from owning property in the holy cities of Mecca and Madinah, reported Gulf News. Expatriates can still rent properties in these holy cities for up to 10 years with a renewable option.
