Saudi diamond trade up seven percent

A recent survey conducted by the Arabian Gulf region Diamond Promotion Center on diamond trade has concluded that the average growth rate of diamond jewelry sales in Saudi Arabia has reached seven percent during the year 2000, reported Al-Sharq Al-Awsat daily.

Several promotion campaigns, which have been recently launched by local dealers, are reportedly among the reasons for the seventeen percent rise in diamond sales in Jeddah alone.

Participants in the survey included key diamond dealers, primarily from Riyadh and Jeddah. ― (MENA Report)
