Saudi exchange down for third consecutive week, UAE market up

The Saudi Securities Market experienced a downturn during the week of December 6 for the third consecutive week, reported Al-Hayat . The local share price index closed at 2,346.38 points last Thursday, a 59 percent fall from 2,360.28 points on the previous Thursday.  

 

The Emirates Securities Market recorded a positive performance during the week ending December 6. The index of the Abu Dhabi National Bank, which measures Abu Dhabi and Dubai Stock Exchanges, closed at 1,119.9 points in the end of last week, a 2.83 percent growth compared with the end of the previous week, reported Al-Hayat .  

 

Major increases were achieved by the banking sector (2.23 percent), the service sector (2.13 percent) and the insurance sector (0.17 percent). — (menareport.com)
