Bahraini authorities have recently contracted the Saudi Bin-Laden Group to construct a new convention center and banquet hall, reported Al-Hayat daily. Bahraini and Saudi parties involved refrained from specifying further details.
The state-owned building will enable the government to better host international political and economic events. Sources in Manama added that the feasibility study regarding this project was concluded this past February.
Meanwhile, the Bin-Laden Group was also recently awarded a $43.5 million contract to build a five-star hotel in Latakia, Syria. The 33,000 square mile hotel complex, part of the Afamia resort project, will include 289 rooms and various restaurants. ― (MENA Report)
