The Head of the Investment and Financing Consulting Center, Abdul-Aziz Al-Dakheil, predicted that oil production would decline by seven percent in 2002, reported Al-Hayat. The Saudi economist added that Saudi oil output would average 7.061 million barrels per day in 2002, compared with the present 8.67 million barrels per day. The specialist added that in the best-case scenario, Saudi Arabia’s maximum oil production will stand at 7.25 million barrels per day for 2002. — (menareport.com)
