The corporate market in the Gulf is presently worth an estimated $119 million annually, according to Scala Business Solutions, an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions provider in the region. To maintain its market position and move ahead of the competition Scala opened a regional office in Dammam, to tap the dynamic local economy of the eastern province of Saudi Arabia.
Scala's Dammam office specializes in sales and marketing, consulting, and hotline and support.
ERP solutions spending in the Middle East North African (MENA) region is projected to rise substantively by more than 17 percent to 810 million Emirati dirhams ($219 million) by the end of 2006, according to IDC MENA (Dubai).
"The opening of the Dammam office is part of our strategic client-service plan in the Kingdom. An office on the east coast will help us better serve our client base there as well as provide us with a presence to further penetrate the region," said Sales Manager, Scala Arabia Eastern Province, Arif Saif.
Scala is on an aggressive expansion drive, having recently opened an office in the capital Riyadh. The Dammam office will be followed by a third Saudi office which will open in the commercial capital of Jeddah in the western region of the kingdom.
Saudi Arabia is the biggest market within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for ERP products. The Kingdom has numerous blue chip companies and large international trading groups which are not only spread throughout the country, but also hold rights to distribute products and services from all over the world. — (menareport.com)
