Bahrain’s Seef Mall recorded a three percent growth in the number of outlets being announced in the annual figures. The result was announced by the Seef Properties management showing that a further 19 shops were opened in 2002 making the total number of shops 220.
Statistics showed that 7.560 billion visitors came to the mall during 2002 a significant increase on 2001. The survey also showed that out of the diverse mixture of visitors 53 percent came from Bahrain, 19 percent from other Gulf countries, 11 percent of those from Saudi Arabia. In addition, 26 percent came from other countries all over the world and outside the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
Seef Mall covers over 100,000 square meters. The mall currently offers customers a selection of retail shops of various international brands, a sixteen screen multiplex cinema and more than 40 restaurants and coffee shops, which combine to offer seating for approximately over 2,000 people. — (menareport.com)
