Memon Investments, a leading Dubai-based property developer and part of the international business conglomerate, the Memon Group of Companies, announced that it has awarded Shanghai & Arabian Electromechanical LLC (SAE) the contract to install state-of-the-art elevators within Champions Tower I and Cambridge Business Centre.
The AED 1.1 million elevator contract, which SAE won following a competitive tender, will involve the deployment of three high-speed elevators within Champion Towers I, and two passenger elevators and one service elevator in Cambridge Business Centre.
The agreement with SAE is among the latest partnerships undertaken by Memon Investments with top construction suppliers, which is part of the developer's strategy to partner with market leaders to ensure quality and timely delivery. Rizwan Shaikhani, Joint Managing Director, Memon Investments and Eng. Tariq Madanat, Sales Manager, SAE, have signed the contract in the presence of senior company officials from both companies. The agreement with SAE follows contracts signed with other companies, including an AED 31 million contract with Majed Hilal Contracting and an AED 42 million contract with Cairo Contracting Company for the construction of Champions Tower I and Cambridge Business Centre respectively. In addition to the installation and supply of the elevators, SAE has also offered Memon Investments 18 months free servicing on the elevators as part of the contract for the AED 75 million Champions Tower I, located in Dubai Sports City and AED 80 million Cambridge
Business Centre, located in Dubai Silicon Oasis.
"Champions Tower I and Cambridge Business Centre mark the first project we have ever launched and our first commercial development respectively, and the success of these two developments is essential in our aims to build a strong repute within the UAE real estate market. It was therefore important for us to partner with a contractor and supplier that understood our vision and could help us translate them into reality," said Rizwan Shaikhani. "We have selected SAE based on their proven expertise in these projects and impressive post-implementation servicing, which are in line with our own standards as far as providing technologically-driven convenience and safety to our tenants is concerned."
Shanghai & Arabian Electromechanical has committed to completing all aspects of the installation within six months, following the receipt of materials at site, the completion of the hoistway and the provision of uninterrupted power supply. The Shanghai Mitsubishi elevators will offer unique features, including 'Advanced Group Control with Artificial Intelligence and Fuzz Logic' and 'Automatic Hall Call Registration' technologies. This will lead to substantial power savings via effective car allocation, reduction in waiting time and enhanced handling and efficiency. Furthermore, passengers will also be alerted if a car is near full capacity, while directing cars to floors where traffic is the heaviest during peak traffic hours. In addition to the installation, the leading vertical systems company will also conduct monthly routine maintenance and 24/7 emergency breakdown support for both towers.
"We are proud to be a partner of Memon Investments, a reputed developer with a healthy mix of diverse projects, by deploying our state-of-the-art lifts along with our service standards that are at par with international benchmarks. Our deep understanding of their requirements has enabled us to propose the necessary passenger and service elevators for the projects, and our commitment is to complete the installation by the deadline we have set to ensure that Memon Investments can proceed to deliver their projects on schedule," concluded Madanat.
