Siemens wins Grand Hyatt Dubai contract

Siemens’ newly created Hospitality Unit is to supply a complete range of integrated products and services to the upcoming Grand Hyatt Dubai.The multi-million dollar contract calls for the supply of project data networking and computer systems for the Grand Hyatt hotel and residence complex. It also includes Building Management Systems, fire alarm, voice evacuation and gas detection systems. 

 

The Siemens IT services arm has been selected as a system integrator to supply the project data networking and computer systems. This includes designing, planning and integrating data networking including Local Area Network / Wide Area Network, data security and various computer systems hosting multiple hospitality applications. 

 

Siemens Building Technologies meanwhile, will supply the Building Management Systems, fire alarms, voice evacuation and gas detection systems for the hotel. That contract covers cost-effective facility performance solutions providing the hotel with life safety, security and energy efficiency. The environment detection systems, for instance, incorporate the latest advances in sensor technology, electronics and data processing. 

 

Scheduled to open at the end of 2002 Grand Hyatt Dubai is set to be one of the Middle East's largest and most sophisticated luxury conference hotels. Consisting of 674 rooms and suites, 4,340 square meters of conference space and 186 apartments, the hotel will offer integrated conference facilities and accommodation including serviced apartments, dining and entertainment, recreation facilities and spa services.
