Slight gains on the Cario’s stock exchange

Monday, December 4, saw the market gain ground in a majority of sectors, although many stocks witnessed significant fluctuations.  

 

The telecom sector dominated by Mo-biNiL (EMOB.CA), encored a large number of bids throughout the session, relative to the small number of asks which eventually dried out by the session end, boosting the share up 3.4 percent to LE78.54. 

 

The financial sector was also up with large cap CIB (COMI.CA) gaining a modest 0.79 percent. Construction giant OCI (OCIC.CA)fared well rallying up 4.68 percent to LE43.83, facilitated by news concerning the commencement of Egyptian Cement Company’s (ECC) third production line. OPTD (OPTD.CA) seems to have reserved a place in the top gainers list on a daily basis as it also appreciated yesterday 4.94 percent to close at LE6.37.  

 

Lakah Group (HCFI.CA) dominated volumes acquiring more than half of the CASE's volume, with over 2 million shares changing hands, managing to close 0.67 percent above its previous days close. In all, the PAMI gained 2.13 percent up to 8107.7, while the PIPO advanced 0.58 percent to 1692.4. —Prime Securities S.A.E.
