Sonoran Energy President and CEO Paul Bristol, who is visiting Baghdad, said that the company intends to open an office in Iraq within the next 30 days.
The office, which will be located in Baghdad, will be used to support the company's planned oil and gas development program in Iraq. The operation in Baghdad will be manned by Iraqi oil experts, said a company press release.
"To operate successfully in Iraq it is imperative that we have a strong in-country presence," said Bristol, who was recently working with the Iraqi Oil Ministry in organizing a conference in Baghdad. "Over the next few weeks we will be identifying several oil and gas opportunities in Iraq and our team will need to establish itself in the local business community…We will be announcing our Iraqi partner in the very near future."
Sonoran Energy's primary objective is to build itself into a major oil and gas corporation concentrating mainly in Iraq, but with a background of developing oil properties in North America. — (menareport.com)
