Sony Broadcast & Professional have announced the launch of a new range of monitoring products which use the flexibility of the internet and connect to existing information technology (IT) networks to allow users to remotely video monitor buildings, homes, companies or private properties. These products are being showcased in Hall 7,Stand 7 at Gitex 2002.
The Middle East security market like many other markets globally is dominated by analogue surveillance systems. There is a growing need for products that merge analogue and digital formats and integrate within the IT environment. Sony’s IP video camera and video server solutions provide solutions where traditional closed circuit television systems can be enriched with new functions and offer greater flexibility at a lower cost.
Remote Monitoring allows users to view a process taking place in the professional environment such as in factories, construction sites, nurseries, hospitals - while working from home or from ones desk. Using a personal computer and the internet gives the flexibility of working from anywhere saving both time and money.
As more and websites go online on a daily basis the challenge grows for driving traffic to websites. The attractiveness of a website can be further increased by quality live video that captures interest and enhances images. Enabling website owners to post real time images on a network via the Sony cameras makes this application a popular one. — (menareport.com)
