SRS-WORLDHOTELS, which includes properties in the UAE, Lebanon, Bahrain, Jordan and Saudi Arabia in its portfolio, has signed a global contract with Malta-headquartered Corinthia Hotels International to provide worldwide sales, marketing and reservation distribution services.
The agreement includes Tripoli’s new Corinthia Bab Africa Hotel and properties in Tunisia and Turkey which are now available through the SRS-WORLDHOTELS network, Global Distribution Systems and major online sites.
“Corinthia Hotels International are the newest members of our growing portfolio,” said Michael Ball, CEO of SRS-WORLDHOTELS. “We are confident our international sales network and unrivalled expertise in global distribution will give Corinthia Hotels the extended worldwide reach these excellent properties deserve.”
The deal means 19 Corinthia hotels and resorts in Europe, the Mediterranean and Africa join SRS-WORLDHOTELS global portfolio comprising more than 450 hotels in 65 countries.
Chairman of Corinthia Hotels, Karmenu Vella, welcomed membership of SRS-WORLDHOTELS, and said: “As we reach a point in our evolution where we have a critical mass of fine properties, SRS-WORLDHOTELS is a natural partner to help us extend the reach and appeal of these upscale city hotels and resorts to a global market.”
Corinthia Hotel’s four decades of experience in the hospitality industry began in 1960 with the acquisition of an art nouveau villa in Malta and today extends to upscale four and five-star city and resort hotels in 11 countries, in Belgium, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Libya, Malta, Portugal, Russia, Gambia, Togo, Tunisia and Turkey.
The group includes the world famous, recently rebuilt, Corinthia Grand Hotel Royal in Budapest, the Corinthia Nevskij Palace Hotel in St Petersburg, the recently renovated Corinthia Alfa Hotel, Lisbon’s largest hotel with 517 rooms, and five hotels in Malta, where the company is headquartered.
