Steel fabrication factory to be built in Dubai

Kwik Steel Structures has signed an agreement with Techno Park Dubai to build a AED 50m highly automated facility providing high quality, high output fast track steel fabrication services for the local and international construction and oil & gas industries over piece of land with an area of 45,000 square meters.


Abdullah Ahmed Al Qurashi, Chief Executive Officer - Techno Park said: “Techno Park Techno Park's role is to ensure that it provides excellent facilities, services and simple operating procedures to all business operations and Kwik Steel is one such company that will benefit from this."


Al Qurashi added: “Techno Park was able in a short period to sign many agreements with local and international companies and will announce soon about new companies that focuses on developing and manufacturing water desalination stations and research centers affiliated to it as well as manufacturing and gathering Gas and Oil equipments and Environment research centers."


Commenting at the signing ceremony, Hans Goerke, Factory Manager, Kwik Steel Structures, said: “The company has been developed in association with Convrgnt Value Engineering LLC, a Design & Build Construction company, and will meet the growing demand for hot rolled steel fabrications, which has risen on the back of the region’s unprecedented pace of development and the need for complex and sophisticated steel fabrication solutions."


Goerke added: “We have worked with the Convrgnt Design team over the last year to develop this state of the art facility which will deliver steel solutions to the highest international standards. Both sides worked tremendously hard to ensure that we produced the best designed facility of its kind in the region. 
“We have developed a good working relationship with Convrgnt’s team and confident we will be able to use this experience in future to jointly develop and deliver other solutions for our future clients.”

The facility is the second largest its type in the UAE, Goerke stressed, adding “We chose Techno Park for its excellent infrastructure facilities and its proximity to the Jebel Ali Port.  Their friendly and highly organized approach to business demonstrates Dubai’s commitment to become an international hub for business and industry. We look forward to working with them further for many years to come.”
