The Sudanese Banks Union categorically denied the existence in any of the banks operating in Sudan of accounts or financial transactions of terrorists linked with the US terror attacks, a press report said Sunday, October 21.

The Union distributed a statement to domestic and foreign financial operators dealing with banks in Sudan assuring them that their deposits and transactions are safe and informing them that the banks operating in Sudan are run on Islamic lines and "are not linked to political and terrorist activities," the independent Al-Sahafi Al-Dawli daily reported.

The union condemned all forms of terrorism, the press report said. ― (AFP, Khartoum)
