The Egyptian Minister of International Planning and Cooperation, Ahmed Al-Darsh, recently signed a project development contract with the Swiss Ambassador in Cairo, Plizer Judith, according to Al-Ahram daily.
Under the agreement, the Swiss Fund will finance six new development projects in Egypt in the amount of $41 million. Included are water and sewerage projects, as well as support programs benefiting women and children in the various districts of Egypt.
Last year, the Fund financed four projects that improved the technical and vocational skills of the handicapped, privided work opportunities for unemployed universities graduates, and a program aimed at helping underprivileged poor families and the unemployed population. –(MENA Region)
