Within the framework of the Syrian tax reform program, the ministry of treasury is reportedly considering to implement a general sales tax, thus revoking other taxes and indirect fees that apparently cause bureaucratic and technical difficulties, reported Al-Watan.
Sources in the treasury asserted that it is necessary to impose a general sales tax in Syria, due to ongoing local and global economic changes.
