Israel's Tadiran Communications Ltd said on Wednesday, May 16, it received a $26 million contract from an unnamed Asian country to supply tactical communications equipment.
The contract is for 18 months, with most of the supplies to be delivered in 2002, Tadiran said in a statement to the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
Tadiran, a maker of tactical communications products and systems, is controlled by the US' Shamrock Holdings, the investment arm of the Roy Disney family. Its shares were up 2.1 percent at 24 shekels in early afternoon trade in Tel Aviv. ― (Reuters, Tel Aviv)
