TATA Interactive Systems (TIS) has won a contract, valued at some $250,000, to produce an e-learning portal, along with a suite of e-learning programs, for a government-sponsored organization in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
This is the company’s first contract in the UAE and comes as a result of recommendations arising from TIS’ work with organizations in the UK over the past five years or so.
TIS is part of the Tata group, India’s largest business house, employing over 330,000 people and accounting for some two percent of India’s gross domestic product (GDP). Established in 1990 and fully operational within the UK since 1998, is an offshoot of Tata’s involvement in the IT sector. TIS now employs some 350 people, most of whom are based in India. — (menareport.com)
