Tech Access, Sun Microsystems' channel development provider in the Middle East, announced today that it has expanded its operations, opening a new regional office in Cairo, Egypt, in a move designed to capitalize on the rapidly developing North African IT market.
Egypt is regarded by many analysts as a huge potential growth market for IT, as investment increases in the oil, gas and telecommunication sectors. Major multinationals companies are now looking to expand their operations in the country with a view to using it as a hub for future North African development.
Tech Access will support Sun partners in a number of critical service areas, including pre-sales technical support, training, marketing, and continued technical assistance. It will also generate regional leads and support its network of local partners in Egypt, offering a complete package of support and expertise.
As well as serving surrounding territories, the Cairo office will make available solutions testing at the iForce center in Dubai, for customers who want to 'test before investing'.
Tech Access, which has also recently announced office openings in Morocco and Saudi Arabia, is one of the first regional channel development providers to establish itself in the emerging Egyptian market. It has shown commitment and dedication to Sun Microsystems by currently being the only Datacenter Channels Development Provider of Sun products in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Levant, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and North Africa regions. — (menareport.com)
