Technip awarded contract for first oil development offshore project in Mauritania

Technip has been awarded by Subsea 7 a contract worth some Euro 40 million, for the supply of all risers and some of the flowlines for the Chinguetti field, the first oil development offshore in Mauritania. 

 

The Chinguetti field, located in Block 4, in up to 800m water depth, is operated by Woodside Mauritania Pty Ltd. which holds a 53.85% interest. Its partners are Hardman Petroleum (21.6%), BG Group (11.63%), Premier Oil (9.23%) and Roc Oil (3.69%). 

 

Technip’s contract includes the engineering, procurement and supply of ~ 34 km of flexible lines from a total of ~ 47 km.  

 

The flexible flowlines and risers will be manufactured by Flexi France, the Technip Group’s manufacturing plant located in Le Trait (Normandy), France. (menareport.com)
