ALBAWABA - Tesla, the American multinational automotive and clean energy company, announced an increase in the prices of its S-line cars in the US by approximately $5,000, according to a statement published on the company’s website yesterday.

Tesla S model for higher price in the US

Tesla company announced increasing the price of its S line mode in the US by around $5,000. The Tesla Model S is a battery-electric, four-door, full-size car produced by the American automaker Tesla since 2012.

Notably, the base Model S will now cost $79,990, while the high-performance variant will be priced at $94,990.

Tesla and Trump’s impact

Tesla and Elon Musk have high expectations and strong business prospects as President-elect Donald Trump is expected to support Musk and Tesla during his presidency.

It is worth noting that Tesla recently announced the sale of approximately 21,900 electric cars in China during the first week of December, marking the highest sales figures for the last quarter of 2024. As a result, Tesla’s shares increased by about 3.7% to reach $416 per share.

Moreover, Tesla's stock rose by nearly 60% after President-elect Donald Trump won the US presidential election on November 5. The stock also increased by more than 67% since the beginning of 2024.
